Audio Sharing Rules

Evidence Voice Memos keeps recordings private by default. These rules apply only when you turn on link sharing or password-protected sharing.

Audio Sharing Rules

Last updated: April 14, 2026

1. Check before you share

  • Confirm local law, workplace rules, and any consent requirements before sharing a recording outside your device or team.
  • Do not share recordings that expose personal data, account numbers, addresses, health details, confidential conversations, or internal-only information unless you have a lawful reason and permission.
  • If private mode is sufficient for your workflow, keep the recording private instead of creating an external link.

2. Prohibited audio

You may not upload or share recordings that fall into any of the following categories:

  • Exploitative sexual content, child sexual abuse material, or recordings made for sexual exploitation
  • Crime promotion, extortion, threats, illegal drug trade, weapon misuse, or instructions that facilitate unlawful acts
  • Non-consensual recording, stalking, harassment, doxxing, blackmail, or recordings that expose private or confidential information
  • Copyright infringement, likeness-right violations, privacy-right violations, or any recording you do not have permission to share
  • Material that violates the policies of our hosting, storage, payment, or delivery providers

3. Enforcement

We may temporarily disable a shared page, return it to private mode, remove the recording, or restrict account access when a violation is suspected or confirmed.

We may preserve logs and cooperate with lawful requests from rights holders, safety organizations, or public authorities where required.

4. Reporting and takedowns

Anyone can report a shared page if it appears illegal, unsafe, or rights-infringing.

If you need to request removal, report a privacy issue, or submit a rights complaint, please use the contact form linked below and include the shared-page URL.
